By elevating the sleeping area of this master suite, the owners were allowed a complete panoramic view from both the bed and the sitting area. The television can be elevated and rotated automatically so it can be viewed from either area of the room (Click to enlarge). My clients wanted this Master Suite to be the perfect Romantic Retreat. Again, their preferred colors were all cool, but they wanted the room to feel cozy and warm. Once again, the answer was to combine texture and light with the coolness of the colors. The setting sun was refracted by the prisms of the bed and played as rainbows of dancing colors on the wall (Click to enlarge). What could be more restful or romantic at the end of a hectic day than to sleep under the canopy of a balmy starlit sky? And this one never rains. The antique silk rug became the perfect foil for the strength of the iron bed, the filmy bonnet canopy and curtains tied in love knots to expose a spacious golf course view by day (Click to enlarge).
